📉 Weaker Quest sales pulled Reality Labs revenue down 6% to $443 million in Q3, and Zuckerberg responded by saying Meta will launch new VR headsets only when they deliver major breakthroughs.
📢 The market leader is abandoning a regular headset cadence for breakthrough-gated releases, which confirms that Meta’s growth bets have moved to glasses and makes future VR hardware rarer.
🥽 For fans, Quest 3 and 3S will stay current for longer and new Meta headsets will be scarcer, but the ones that do arrive, starting with the $1,299 VR Glasses in spring 2027, should be real generational jumps.

🚀 Crews of up to three with separate roles will share a single ship in Sol Protocol, the co-op roguelike reaching PC VR on November 11.
🕶️ Google-owned Owlchemy Labs revealed Hyper Visor, a $1.99 arcade blaster that turns your room into a shooting gallery and launches alongside XREAL Aura, the first see-through AR glasses running Android XR.
🔫 A November 5 release date has been set for Zero Caliber 2 on PS VR2, where the Remastered edition will run at a native 90fps with headset haptics and adaptive triggers.
🛡️ Free to play and built around four hero classes, Heroes Together VR is now in Early Access on Quest 3 and 3S, giving co-op parties combat bonuses when they strike Power Poses together.

🏷️ Shipping from mid-November, XREAL Aura now starts at $1,099 instead of $1,279 in a limited US launch offer, while earlier buyers who paid full price will get the difference refunded.
📱 It’s through Google Play services v26.42 that Android phones gain support for connecting Android XR glasses, although Google hasn’t yet named compatible eyewear or a release date.
