Titanfall 2 on PC VR, Giants in VR, Meta Muse on iPad

XR = eXtended Reality (everything VR, AR, MR)

📣 If you only read one thing today 📣

🕶️ Samsung’s display-free Intelligent Eyewear has cleared FCC testing in Warby Parker and Gentle Monster frames, and a company official now points to November, so its first Android XR glasses are almost here.

📢 Android XR finally gets a mass-market eyewear partner with retail-scale distribution, which turns AI glasses from a category Meta dominates into a real two-platform contest.

🕶️ Android phone owners will have a serious alternative to Ray-Ban Meta, and the competition should mean more frame styles and more pressure on prices and features.

🥳 But there’s more:

⚔️ It isn’t playable yet, but a first-person VR mod for Diablo II: Resurrected was teased.

🦻 Hearing aids meet eyewear in Legato Frames, camera-free AI glasses from the creator of Bose Frames.

🔒 OpenGlasses, the independent iPhone app that runs a non-Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses, has been renamed Avenkin and has added a face blur that wearers can’t switch off in its professional tier, though the blur hasn’t yet been run on real footage.

AI Games

🦯 Built with the visual interpreting service Aira, Guided Vision in Gemini Live now describes what an Android phone’s camera sees and tells blind and low-vision users how to reframe the shot.

📱 Meta AI 292.1.0, the app every Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta owner must keep installed, now connects to email and calendar and runs scheduled tasks, though Meta doesn’t say any of it reaches the glasses.

🎮 Games can now be built just by typing prompts on Google Playground, an experimental browser platform where people with no coding experience create, share, and play AI-generated games on phones and laptops.

🧩 Unity has partnered with Google on Unity Spark, a prompt-based tool that works only inside Playground and draws on the Unity Asset Store, so non-coders can grow a text prompt into a full game.

📲 Instagram took 15 years to get an iPad app, but Meta’s Muse agent needed only a month, landing on the tablet after an estimated 6.6 million installs and with new connectors such as Asana, Figma, and Zoom.

Until next time, enjoy your other reality gaming!
